OSI hosted a film screening and discussion of Liberia: An Uncivil War with cinematographer Tim Hetherington and producer/director Jonathan Stack. Amy Yenkin, director of OSI's Documentary Photography Project, introduced the event.

Liberia: An Uncivil War documents both sides of the conflict that erupted when President Charles Taylor refused to leave the country after being indicted as a war criminal for his role in neighboring Sierra Leone's civil war. The film captures Monrovia during the last months of President Taylor's regime, and follows the LURD (Liberians United for Reconciliation and Democracy) rebel group as they march to the capital city.
