The October 2010 issue of the Canadian HIV/AIDS Legal Network’s flagship publication, the HIV/AIDS Policy and Law Review, contains a special section on human rights at the 2010 International AIDS Conference, prepared with partial support from the Open Society Public Health Program. The 2010 conference marked a watershed for human rights responses to HIV, as illustrated by the conference theme (“Rights Here. Right Now”) and the thousands-strong International Human Rights March and Rally.
This issue of the HIV/AIDS Policy and Law Review contains short articles on a range of HIV and human rights subjects covered at the conference, including drug policy and harm reduction, the rights of women and girls, HIV testing, and criminalization of HIV transmission.
