Study: $45m to Mississippi Private Prisons at Expense of Educational Spending

Massive spending on Mississippi private prisons has siphoned badly needed funds away from classrooms and students, leaving higher education appropriations stagnant and African Americans shouldering the burden, according to a new report released today by OSI Criminal Justice Initiative grantee Grassroots Leadership.
