The Federal Transparency in Coverage Rule requires employers to post to the employer’s public website plan sponsor machine readable files, negotiated service rates, and out-of-network allowed amounts between health plans and health care providers. In response to this rule, the Open Society Foundations are providing a link to Cigna’s machine readable files. These files are formatted to allow researchers, regulators, and application developers to more easily access and analyze data.
