Reconsidering the Constitution
The past five years have witnessed the formation of a scholarly movement to lay out a clear vision of the U.S. Constitution. Two new books—Keeping Faith with the Constitution and The Constitution in 2020—have presented an opportunity for a gathering of scholars and activists to discuss the ideas that undergird our democracy and shape our laws: equality, liberty, criminal justice, and governmental powers.
